My Day In New Smyrna Beach FL

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend an art exhibit and lecture in New Smyrna Beach FL, and I enjoyed both the event and the city of New Smyrna Beach.

Yesterday was the last day of our week-long vacation trip to Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach is located about 20 miles away from Daytona Beach.

Prior to arriving in New Smyrna Beach, I went to the web site for the local chamber of commerce, where I learned about different local attractions.

The first thing I noticed upon arriving in New Smyrna Beach was how attractive the city’s downtown section looks. Lined with palm and other leafy, green trees, the downtown section is home to a charming mix of retail shops, restaurants and cafes, and various types of service businesses.

After attending the exhibit and lecture, my wife and visited the interesting New Smyrna Museum of History, then ate an early dinner at a wonderful seafood restaurant. Following our delicious meal, we strolled around and discovered a top-rate French bakery, where we purchased some incredible pastries.

The expansive beach area in New Smyrna Beach is neat and clean and all of the people that we talked to there seemed quite friendly.
